Meeting with Kat

Signed on first with Desert Witch and joined a Sister Psyche TF. It took just under 2 hours - we ninja'd a couple of the missions. It was a really good team, I was very surprised. Witch got 3 levels out of it. I think she's going to be sticking around, too, which means Dmitrius has to give her money and I have to put in my order. Now with the new ability to transfer influence by email, it's a lot easier.

Grim needed to meet with Kat, to let her know things were going all right. He told her that he had done his homework with Kal, that Kal said he was acting like a spoiled child because he didn't get his way, and that he was running away, that he had a larger ego than the technomancers. Lue peeks in, and Grim waves him inside. The two sit next to each other, because Grim feels that whatever he says to Kat he can say to Lue too.

Grim explains that he was always a bottom, the submissive one. "Except when I...teach." He always considered himself weaker, physically weaker (though he in reality isn't any more), and allowed people to abuse him. He doesn't mind surrendering, it's a "sweet surrender."

He tells Kat also that life's too short, and he's started becoming more undiplomatic and direct. "I don't have time or patience to cushion things." He's realized this because, as a Reaper, he's seen many endings, and heard many regrets. He doesn't want to face that. He feels that eventually they'll see his point, and, even though he might be wrong, he's at least drawn their attention to it. "Consciously or unconsciously, you've done something to change it."

He also assures Kat that when it comes to working with the team, he will work with the team, regardless of who's on it. Afterward, all gloves are off and it's back to the way things were.

She asks what his plans are, and right now they're to go after the Tsoo, especially Tub Ci. Kat dismisses them saying that she still wants to catch up with him every once in a while, and that she'd be happy to help Lue if necessary. Lue and Grim then head home.

Mark sees them, and apologizes to them. Grim and Lue also note that maybe they weren't the best at it, either - and Grim gives Mark a hug.

Grim tells Lue about Mark's possible "guest". Lue doesn't like the idea, but Grim seems to think he can hold him down. Lue says that if there's any threat against Grim, Lue will take the Komodo down. Grim accepts that, sealing the deal.
